IUI 24HOURS AFTER HCG SHOT?

hI i AM ON MY THIRD IUI( SECIND WITH CLOMID). This time we did the HCG shot, but I'm concerned because there was only 23 hours from tyhe time of the shot and my insemination. I have been reading that the insemination should be done @ 36-48 hours later?? Also I used donor sperm, so how long will that last once inseminated? Thanks so much.

I was on clomid 2months, first month was 50mg and had 3eggs, did iui with no success, second time was on 75mg and had 7eggs, (didn't do iui that time, due to too many eggs) both times all on the right side. This month was on femara 2.5mg, and I only have 1egg and it's on the left side, it's 2 and my endometrium is nice and thick. Got the hcg shot this morning and getting iui done tomorrow morning. We are using a sperm donor.  Any advice on heightning my chance of getting pregnant...(like pillow under the hips with my legs up in the air) ...???
Good luck to all the woman out there trying to get pregnant!!!

Hi-I went thru 4 IUI's and my RE always used the 24 hour protocol.  I would have the HcG and then IUI 23-24 hours later.  I have now moved on to IVF bc it didn't work for me.  But, I have other issues and the timing was not the problem.  My RE has very high success rates with that protocol.  I don't know much about donor sperm, but I do know washed sperm don't live as long-probably 12-24 hours.  good luck to you!

Hi - 23 hours is fine...the little swimmers will hopefully be waiting for the egg/s once it /they ovulates. Do you know if you have ovulated yet? Washed sperm don't live as long as regular sperm but they still last a good 12 hours or so in a good ewcm environment. Every docor and every clinic seems to have a little varience in their protocol with "when" to do insemination, but my guess is that you are in good shape:)

Best of luck to you!
