IUI today! need help

Had an iui today ...two great follicles 18 and 20.5 but my ovulation test said I wasn't ovulating. Dr. says its fine because I should tonight or tomorrow?? Any information would be so helpful. Please help!

Did you have an hcg trigger shot to ovulate? If so, you usually ovulate 36 hours later. They usually say to bd after iui and the next morning, just to cover your basis in case you were to ovulate a little later. I've also read that washed sperm can live up to 24 hours, so either way, the sperm from your iui will still be there waiting for your egg when it decides to make it's appearance! :) Is this your first iui?

I just finished my second cycle of IUI on 100mg of clomid & I also have 2 follicles (1 in each ovary).  Did you get the trigger shot (Ovidrel) and if so that is what is going to make hopefully you ovulate.  GOOD LUCK!!

No I didn't have a trigger shot. I keep reading about a trigger shot and I don't even know what it is??? Why didn't he tell me about that? He seemed like he was so sure I would ovulate. I'm so confused. We bd yesterday and will tomorrow just in case. Had the iui three days ago and still haven't gotten a postive ovt result. Blood test Monday so I just 2ww.

Dr. didn't give me a trigger shot. Not sure why???? I'm confused and will ask for one the next go around if it doesn't work this time. I'm having cramping in my lower abdomen...it's been three days since iui and I'm not sure what's going on.
