IVF advice PLEASE!!!

HI all!  Well I am on my 7th day of stims and just started my Ganirelex ( to prevent ov)  I wernt for BW US this morning.  The nurse called with my E2 at 677 ( it was 445 yesterday and 115 two days before that).  Just wondering if these numbers are ok.  She couldn't share my follie sizes because the other office had them and the tech was supposed to bring them but we had a snowstorm.  She said the RE had them and ordered me to start the Gan.  Is that good?  Are the follies usually starting to grow when you start the Ganirelex?  Just worried and wondering.  Oh also he has kept my stim drugs the same the whole time.  Does this mean things are proegressing ok?

Sounds like we are on the same cycle almost. This is my first IVF. I am on day 8 of stims. I started taking synarel (prevents ovulation) before I started injections and continue with it during stims until harvesting. My BW/US yesterday was in the 1900's for estrogen and there were 11 follicles in total they are watching around 12mm. Sounds like you are progressing well. My RE said it is a longer slower process --to expect 16-18 days of stims until harvesting. When I did IUI it was 10days of stims. Good luck to you!

Thanks girls!!!  I just got BW today E2 is 980.  I still continue stims and Gan.  But I only had 2 follicles over 10 (12 and 13) as of Yesterday am.  I go again tomorrow am.  The nurse said don't worry- they start popping up and growing really fast.  Is this true?  Did you have 18 big follicles to get 18 eggs?

I started my IVF on Friday and by Wedensday, I was using Ganarelix too for the same reason as you. I had 18 retreived, 17 mature and 15 fertilized-I wish you LUCK!!!

I think you are doing a cycle much like my doctor was going to do with me.  They told me that when your estrodial gets to a certain point, you start the Ganirelex to keep you from ovulating too early, and you continue the stims so that they can get the folicles to a nice healthy size.  Sounds like things are going just like they are supposed to, Good luck!
