Is anyone getting ready close to ovulation

But i thought maybe we could start one with people
who are about to concieve. I just think that it helps to talk
to people
I am on my second 100mg of clomid and also trying pre seed
I am cd13

Hi Apes! I'm about to O! I'm on my very first month of clomid, so not sure if that will delay things...just took my last pill today CD9. I usually ovulate on CD 12 or 13, but it might be a bit later this month with clomid. We'll see.... When do you usually ovulate?

I'm also taking a prenatal, baby aspirin and fish oil every day, and will probably use pre-seed around ovulation (I've heard clomid can dry up your cm).

I hope we'll both get our BFPs this month!!!

I was taking 100 mg of clomid this cycle; right now I am on cd11.  I hope to get a positive OPK on cd14.  We are almost there!!!

I am not sure if clomid prolonged ovulation because i wasn't oing before it but
last month i oed on cd16 and i could tell i had cramps the day of my pos lh and the
day after. Yes clomid really dried me up I had a lot of cm before clomid even though i wasn't oing but I have none while on it. so why are you taking the clomid?

Helen I know its exciting to finally almost be in the tww, is this your first round of clomid? Why are you taking it?

Do either of you get back pain before you o I had back pain yest and its gone now but today i had slight cramps i normally get back pain before af doc said that it is due to things streching so hopefully it is just that my ovary is streching so it can throw an egg out.

I'm a little behind you all. I'm CD6. Taking my first round of 50mg clomid this month. Going in on the 11th for US to check follicle size.

I have a 5 year old and she was born in Jan. and so I was housebound during the time most of the time I was really showing!
Anyway, thats just me being silly, I would be happy anytime I get pregnant.

No, this is my third round of clomid but my first after laparoscopy.  I am taking clomid to improve my chances. I actually O on my own...
I do not get back pain but I do have O pain on the side I am ovulating.

I loved being pregnant with my daughter. I remember being a little sad when I left the hospital that I wasn't pregnant anymore!

Like Helen, I wanted to try clomid to see if it will increase my chances. I've never tried any other fertility meds before, so I was a little unsure how it would affect me...but so far I've not had any side effects.

Oh, and I'm only doing clomid and BDing :-) I'll probably start using OPKs tomorrow.

Hi, I replied to you on my last post, I went to NYC for he weekend so I just got back on tonight.
Did the Doc say to start using OPK's on day 10 or are you just doing that to cover all basis'?

Most people recommend to start OPK'ing 2 days after your last clomid pill.

I think we can all relate to how you feel.  I would give up anything for a big belly and morning sickness  :)

Hello girls,

Just wanted to check in and see how everyone's doing. I'm now CD10 and used an OPK this morning which was negative, but it had a faint line. But like Helen said, it could be too early after my last clomid pill, since I took my last pill yesterday morning. The reason I started OPKing today is because I usually get my surge on CD12, so I always start testing on CD10. If that makes sense.

StillTrying: I went back and found your other post. Hope you had a great trip to NYC over the weekend!!! I'm not doing any u/s monitoring, so I'm basically just relying on the OPKs :-) I hope you do ovulate on Valentine's Day...wouldn't that be the perfect day to conceive!!!

I guess I am a lot like you.  Typically get a surge on cd12-13 so I start OPking around cd10.  But from my past history I know that with clomid I do not get a + till cd14 or 15.  Hoping to get that positive on Wednesday.  I totally hate waiting.  I wish I was chilling in 2ww!

I have noticed that while on clomid i can feel when i am going
to ovulate because i get cramps anyways that is what happened
last month and i know i oed, but this month is different cause i
have alot of cm instead of last month where i didn't have any and
actually failed a pct my doc didn't even think that i oed because i
didn't have fertile mucus, but i did as my prog level was 31.7 but i
do think that may have caused us from not get preggo. I know that you
can not trust the opks until after the third day of taking the pill. But i did
it early to just cause i didn't want to miss it. Are you temping?

that is my favorite holiday

I tried Clomid for 2 cycles, and I O'ed on cd 16 with both (first month bd, second month IUI), then took last month off while getting a referral to an RE. I ended up O'ing on my own last cycle, again on cd 16. I produced one follicle all 3 months, but I have PCOS, which means my LH is always high, so I have to rely on u/s and trigger shots to know when I ovulate.

I started Femara and Follistim this month, and I will be injecting my trigger shot tonight (cd14) at 10 PM. I have an IUI scheduled 37 hours later, at 11 AM Wednesday. So I guess I will O cd15/cd16 this cycle. My ultrasound showed 6 follicles over 19mm, so this regime has worked much better than Clomid so far.

Apes, this was a great posting idea. Hope we all have baby bumps this summer! SSBD all around!!!!

Helen: Yeah, it does sound like we have a lot in common :-) Knowing that you usually get your surge on the same day as me on non-medicated cycles, and usually ovulate on CD14 or 15 on clomid, kinda gives me an idea of what to expect. Thanks for sharing that!

Apes: Yes, I do chart! I've been BBT charting for a while now, and I love it. Are you? I'm curious to see if I get any cramping around O. I used to always know when I O'd because of cramping; but after my first miscarriage, I don't really get that very often anymore. I'm also a little worried about a lack of CM. I'll probably use pre-seed once I get my surge...just in case.

Hi guys!  So I'm day 2 of clomid and every time I'm on it I get CRAZY hot flashes!!! Yesterday I was teaching my class and my hands started burning up and they turned red like I was sun burnt... I went and stood outside in the cold for awhile but it was weird!  lol just thought I'd share!  Anyone get side effects using clomid... I have a few others but they don't seem as bad if I take the pill at night...

So I was wondering what kind of OPK's does everyone use?  Last month I tried the ones with the lines and the happy face but the one with the line told me I was O'ing on day 15 when the smiley face did not show me O'ing so I went in for my IUI on day 16 and I was nervous that I was too early... any thoughts?  What should I do this month?  During that time I feel all stressed trying not to miss my time!

I am new to this so I hope I have all the terms down right. My DH and I have been trying for about 6 months now to get pregnant, I am 30 and he is 37 (not spring chickens). I am now CD14, did OPK again this morning and neg, I haven't had a positive yet but the line is actually getting lighter. Did I miss my positive? We have been BD'ing every other day since last Sunday. I am so confused about getting this right, I want it to be a fun enjoyable experience for both of us... there isn't suppose to be so much stress.

Any suggestions?
