Is this normal side affects?

Im on my first month of clomid and having a few side affects that my doctor didnt tell me about.   Wight gain, bigger chest, and retain fluids.  Based on a 30 day cycle Im not due for a period for another 12 days.  Are these normal side affects?

I am about to start my 1st round on Sunday. I saw several poss side effects, but not those. HHhhhhmmmm

I would call your doctor about this.  There can be some negative side effects and rapid weight gain can be an indicator of this.  For some people the clomid can hyperstimulate the ovaries.

Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome During Clomiphene Therapy: Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS) has been reported in patients receiving clomiphene therapy alone or in combination with gonadotropins.

OHSS is a medical event distinct from uncomplicated ovarian enlargement. The early warning signs of OHSS are abdominal pain and distention, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and weight gain.

I had weight gain all three months..very swollen..8 pds total...i ended up with 7 cysts and stopped taking the clomid..i am now down 4 of the 8 and waiting to see what to do next...i heard my reaction was not the norm..good luck!

I've gained 3.5 lbs in 2 weeks Im not sure if Im retaining water or what but I use the bathroom a lot.  My breast increased in size where its noticable.  I feel bloaded.  Im not in any discomfort except during ovulation for 2 days I was in pain but the pain was more like discomfort and heavy almost like I was holding in too much fluid.  I dunno, I guess I will contact my obgyn.  I didnt expect to have any crazy reactions. Thanks for the advise
