Ivf questions

I just the office with my RE and we both agree the next step is ivf... But my insurance dosent cover it which I knew but he want DH to have a semen test to see if need to the icsc and plus another sample when it's time for the ivf, did ur DH have to have this done???  And I had a lap done back in may so he wants to do anther hcg before jut to make sure my uterus which tuebdoxtornsaid looked perfect when she did the lap I just have one blocked tube I'm just trying to cut down on all cost so any feed back is helpful thanks

Thanks ladies I'm scheduled fir my second hsg on wend.  I know I have. Blocked tube but Im just hoping my uterus is in good shape to do the transfer..

My DH had the semen analysis done as well, which was good because he had a congenital defect which required us to extract, do ICSI, assisted hatching, the works (we had no idea he could be the issue--I always assumed it was me). I also did the HSG...all this stuff is necessary to see if you two are even viable candidates for IVF. I was glad to do all of this first since, like you, it was not covered by insurance for us.

I had all of those things.  My DH had all the tests.  We were even tested for the tendency to pass various diseases, and a whole bunch else.  It's for your own good, since without the tests you could walk into an expensive effort that won't work.
