Menopur, Bravelle and Repronex, all the same thing?

so i got my bloodwork back yesterday and my RE upped my dose. well the pharmacy is on backorder of menopur so they are changing me over to repronex. has anyone taken this med? side effects? i went to the website and it looks like all 3 are the same thing basically. (im taking bravelle and menopur now, but will be starting on repronex as soon as all my menopur runs out)

I took Menopur and it didn't really work for me.. I started at low dosage though.  This round.. my iVF, we are using super high dosage of Gonal-f.  For some reason i thought Menopur had both FSH & LH, while Gonal-f only has FSH. I could be totally wrong though.

I only took Menopur but my RE told me once that they are all the same thing.

yea, i will later, i was just hoping of getting the opinion of someone who has actually expeirenced it. ill have to call my IVF coordinator when i get home and relax a bit, im at work and a frazzled mess! ive seen so many people talk about their meds and this and that about them, but this name doesnt sound familiar, i was hoping that if someone seen the name and would comment. o well i guess i just have to wait......Thanks so much Helen....and again CONGRATS!!!!!! you must be beside yourself still!! =)

I only took Menopur so I am not sure about the other drug.  Can you call some ivf nurse on-call at your clinic??

well from what ive read, it looks like it, BUT i was reading about repronex and it didnt have as much info and it seemed like the part about the side effects stuck out a little more, i was wondering if anyone had taken it. i honestly dont think my DR would prescribe me something that would hurt my chances in any means so im not too worried about that, just hoping that nothing really changes. as of right now, everything has been smooth.

I thought all 3 were combination of LH and FSH but I am not a pharmacist.  Ask your doc or your nurse if it's OK to substitute just in case.
