Calling out to any twin mamas through IVF - My first IVF, I was blessed with a beeeautiful little girl (she is 10 months now)... and now I just went through a successful FET and just got my first beta result of 256 - dr. mentioned the word twins.... ahhhh! I won't find out until 3 weeks from now and am feeling blessed with whatever gift I am given... but trying to prepare myself for the multiples factor... Does someone have any thoughts on my beta #?
First off, congratulations! My first beta was 1828, and my second was over 3000 and 2 weeks after that we saw twins! I have asked many people, and many said they had low numbers and got twins! I also did IVF, but my doc said he would not speculate about any numbers until the sonogram. Hcg numbers can be decieving.... Good luck!!!!!
Ok... That is good to know - your beta # was HUGE! I will try not to obsess over beta #... Having a 10 month old already through my first IVF I was not expecting the word twins mentioned by my dr today - I guess I will wait until the sonogram... Thanks for your info :)
Hey, congratulations!!! =) What wonderful news! I agree with Piggy. My beta #s were closer to yours. My first one was 248 and my second was 420 & I'm now almost 11 weeks pregnant with twins. So, the beta may not be a good indicator, but your first one and mine are pretty close ;-) Congrats & best wishes!!!
Good Luck tomorrow! Beta #s can be deceiving... I had higher #s than you, but we only saw only one healthy baby in there... We are just relieved to see a strong heartbeat
Thank you!!
The he only was one strong sac and yolk!! i am 5weeks 2days! he said their might be a twin hidding but its to early to tell!!! I am just glad he saw one and that its doing great! we go back Oct 9 and he said by then we can see the baby move!!
I had my first beta yesterday 10pt6dt and my beta was 132 and the nurse said that is the number they typically see at least 2 weeks past transfer. We only transfer 1 blast but they aren't ruling out the possibility of splitting, although it's probably not likely. I have my 2nd beta tomorrow and I don't know why, but I am nervous.
Thanks Diana. We go through so much, ya know, and to get to this point just makes the worrying intensify. I guess I should get used to this for the rest of my life with having a child! :)
