Please help! Clomid related ovulation Q

Ok, so i got a positive on my opk yesterday morning and me and my DH baby danced yesterday morning but not Saturday nor Friday cause he was away for work purposes :-(
After the LH surge detection from the opk, ovulation should happen 24 to 36 hours later right?
So that means that i could have begun ovulation this morning.
I’ve been having strong pains in my lower abdomen since this morning so i think i am ovulating.
I never had pains like this but i think it may be due to clomid??
We’re gonna BD tonight,...anyone think we may still have a chance this month?
I’m feeling lucky this month because i have an ‘in shape’ rose bud! (sorry but i don’t know what to call it in a nice way!!)
Last month i had a real bad yeast infection :-(
I’d love your feedback anyone,...

Hi everyone. I started my first round of clomid Aug. 29-Sept. 2 which was days 3-7 of my cycle. I had hot flashes and pretty bad cramps while taking the meds and around ovulation. I got a positive OPK Sept. 14 which was cd 19. Since ovulation I have experienced fatigue, severe nausea, cramps, breast tenderness, and irritibility...I keep hoping that we conceived but I am trying not to get my hopes up too much. We have been trying for 13 months and truly hope clomid will work for us. Good luck everyone.

Hi there. First and most importantly, an "in-shape" rose bud really made me laugh!  

I think you tested too early. I would test on 12 dpo or after. I had a wacky couple of cycles on Clomid last year. My 1st two cycles were normal, but I O'ed on cd 17 which is bit later than usual. (In 2007 I conceived around cd 12 or 13.) The next 2 cycles on Clomid my luteal phase was only 4 days long and then only 6 days long! Crazy, huh? I had absolutely no chance with a LP that short. That said, I'm going to start back on Clomid this next cycle and if it makes my LP really short I won't take it again. A lot of women here have recommended Femara. Have you heard of it? It apparently recruits follicles the same as Clomid does, but with much fewer side effects due to it having half the half-life of Clomid. My RE doesn't prescribe it but if I need to, I'll find a doc that does.

I know clomid really regulated my period since i took it and my breasts feel like I boxed with mayweather every time i get my period, either it comes on the 30, 31st like clock work, and the lower abdomin pain yea it something!!!!

I Tested again this morning and still negative. :( Also starting lastnight with some minor spotting so I am sure it will show soon. I'm not sure how to handle all this emotionally anymore. Any suggestions?

Hey, well today i'm officially 2 days late but i ovulated on day 16 or 17 so that might just be normal. This morning i had really bad period cramps and some brownish spotting but so far the pain has dwindled and the spotting has stopped???
I pray to God that this month i can rejoice again with the wonderful gift of a new bean! If i get nothing today and tonight, tomorrow morning i'll test.
I tested on friday and saturday and got 2 BFN's. (10dpo and 11dpo)

I didn't have bad cramps during ovulation... actually the first month on Clomid I felt bad cramping and this time nothing! So confusing! The severe pain comes when I get my period... How is it for you ?

We are so close in dates! How are things now? I am now late 3 days although I took a test and it was negative. :( I have been feeling a little cramping so I'm sure we did not succeed this time. I was hoping I would not have to do the 3 months on Clomid... knowing that this will be my last chance for a bit is so stressful! :(

No i'm not tracking temps...just opk's!
I got my positive on the morning of day 15 (took clomid from days 3 to 7).
Yesterday it felt like my ovaries were about to explode and today i had a piercing sensation on my right ovary.
I think i ovulated today which would make sense since it should happen 24-48 hours later with the 36th hr being the most fertile.

I'm still waiting to get my positive on my OPK.  I stopped taking Clomid on Day 9, and now I'm on day 12.  I started testing on day 10 just in case.  Still no positive yet. What count day were you on when you got your positive after taking clomid?
I hope it comes soon!
I've been BDing since day 10.... so hopefully every day and if I get the surge would like to know for sure I'm ovulating. Have you all been tracking your temps as well... did you get the temp. rise the next morning when you took it?

No, actually i'm ovulating later (day 16 or 17 since opk sun morning - day 15 was +ve) but my AF last month came on day 28 the same as usual with normal bleeding which for me is very little and never heavy even after my loss at 28weeks in jan.
Could i maybe have a lutheal phase problem since my AF still comes on day 28 even when i ovulate on day 16\17???

Did you have bad pain when ovulating?

I also had a positive ovulation test Saturday night and have been trying ever since but I'm still hoping for 1 more try today... just in case. :P
I'm not looking forward to it not working tho because after my first try with clomid my period was 100x more intense! Severe abdo pain and very heavy bleeding for 4 days then went to a regular period with less pain. Did this happen to you ? I called my doctor and he said it all was a normal side effect of the Clomid. Yikes! I really hope we suceeded this time. :)

Uff, great news.
I had bad pains yesterday but similar to first day AF pains. Kinda like my ovaries were gonna come out of me!
Today no pains.
Could it have been maybe the follicles erupting? And therefore ovulation today?
If the opk was positive sunday morning at 9 am and they say you're most fertile time is 36 hours later, that means that monday night at 9pm. We BD'ed at 10.30pm. :-)
I'm hopeful...crossing my fingers for a BFP.

Yes! You still have a good chance this month!!! The pain you are feeling probably does mean you are O'ing and yes it's from the clomid (however, if you get severe pain and such call your doc...) Good Luck and you'll begin your TWW soon!!!
