Question about Ovidrel (HCG) injection

I just had the injection last Wednesday.  I am currently (supposed to be) at 4DPO, so I still have a ways to go before I can test.  I go to the doctor on Wednesday to get b/w done to see how well I ovulated and was secretly hoping they would say I was pregnant (even though it will only be 7DPO......sorry but I'm really anxious.  lol).  But I just read that that early on it could very well be a false positive.  I was just wondering when is the earliest I can test and get a true BFP (without worrying if the HCG injection is giving me a false positive)?

I gave my wife the shot 12 days ago and she took a pregnancy test that came back positive. What are the chances that she is preg. And this is not a false pos.

11 DPtrigger, so about 9DPO  But I would wait to get a "real" result around 12DPO  I got a false + @ 11DPO & I knew my trigger was out cuz I tested every other day to see when it was out, I had 10,000 units & it was out by day 9.
Best of luck!
