Question about clomid

My question is I am on clomid and I will take my last clomid pill on Saturday.  I have read that you should check O on the 3rd day after last pill.  Then I read you can check on the last day on the pill, then i read you should check on the 1st day after the last pill.  Well these Opks are expensive and i cant really check everyday. Is there anyone out there with a answer. Can O take place while your still on clomid?  Sorry if this is crazy i just want to get it right,.
thanks

I buy them off ebay....but I think its better to wait 3 days b/c I started OPKing Monday and I took my last does Sunday and I was getting pretty good second lines and then yesterday it was lighter than the day before so I think the clomid was messing with the test.

You can buy really cheap ovulation tests and pregnancy tests on line.  This is just one of many suggestions:

Since I always felt bad about using expensive pregnancy tests for all of my BFNs I bought these cheap ones.  This way I do not feel stupid since they cost less than a dollar...

What CD is your doctor put you on Clomid.  If you take your clomid on CD3 - 7CD, then you check OPK on CD10.

If you take clomid on Cd5 - Cd9, then you do OPK on the CD12.

I do'nt think Ovulation take place while you on Clomid.

I check OPK on the CD10 - CD 17 becuase you have 7 tests in one box.  Go to walmart and they are cheaper than any other stores.

good luck

Clomid can cause a false positive in OPKs if taken too soon after finishing the prescription!  Therefore, you should start testing a few days after your last pill.  You should wait at least 3 days before using an OPK. If you take Clomid days 3-7 you can begin testing on day 10. If you take it 5-9, you should wait until day 12.  Below is the link where I got this info:
http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/opk.html

Without clomid I get a positive OPK on cd 12.  With clomid, I did not get a positive till day 14-15.
I hope this helps.
Also, expect a longer cycle with clomid!
