Repeat Miscarriage with no reason

Hello I recently joined as well for some support.  I just had my 3rd d&e in 7 months, was pregnant 7 months ago and found out at 8 weeks that the baby passed at 6 weeks.  This time I was 8 1/2 weeks and went in for what seemed like a routine ultrasound only to find out that there was no heartbeat :(  I had a d&e in December, then a repeat d&e in March for leftover tissue.  This was my third.  I'm feeling a littled discouraged as I haven't had any problem getting pregnant, but am scared that I simply can not maintain a pregnancy.  My dr. wants me to see a specialist and just wondering if anyone out there has ever been in this situation and had success.  Thank you.

The clomid worked for you after 2 cycles?  Were you trying to conceive or having difficulty maintaining a pregnancy?  I heard that sometimes the clomid can thin your lining and cause miscarriage as well, which makes me nervous.

Thank you everyone so much, being on here and hearing from all of you gives me hope.  I've been in such a depression for the past week just being unable to get over this and move on as I did the first time around.  My biggest fear is that I will never be able to have children of my own and that really scares me.  In answer to some of your questions, my progesterone dropped a bit this last time, although it was normal the first test I got, so they did put me on 200mg of progesterone twice a day.  I responded great to it and my level went up to almost 100!  My dr. has been wonderful, he's been very active from the beginning in doing everything he can to figure out what went wrong.  The first time around my hcg was very high and they saw 2 sacs so they thought possible twin, but when I got the ultrasound at 5 weeks one had already gone.  Shortly after we lost the hb of the second.  My dr. ran all kinds of tests that time, the one fetus came back healthy, so not a chromosome problem, and he tested me for blood disorders, lupus, diabetes, etc.  I got pregnant this last time and now waiting until my post-op to find out the results as to whether or not the fetus was healthy or not.
So basically seeing a fertility dr. isn't JUST for people who can not conceive?  I didn't know that, and actually does make me feel better.  My dr. thinks it could be a possible bloodclot disorder as well and told me the specialist will do further testing on that.  I do not know much about chlomid but my dr. did tell me that the specialist may want to put me on that.  For anyone on it, has it worked??

I'm sorry to hear about your losses. I have had 2 m/c in the last 7 months and know how devastating it can be. I seeked help from my OB who by the way is a Godsend. They are very aggressive and said they would make sure I kept the next pregnancy. I was prescribed 50mg of Clomid because it is said to produce the healthiest eggs. Also was prescribed Progesterone to help in case I wasnt producing enough on my own. That apparently was my winning combination because we got our BFP after 2 cycles and we are now 13 weeks along. Have you ever been tested for Progesterone? A friend of mine just had her 4th m/c and her OB just realized she wasnt producing enough on her own. Good luck and I hope you get a sticky baby soon!!

I am so sorry for your losses, hang in there. You are able to get pregnant and that is great so I hope they are able to find what is causing the mc. I have had 2 mc but did complete one pg in the middle to have my ds. Stay positive, the fact that you get pregnant so easily is great and now they can address this issue. I personally have always taken over a year to get preg then I mc so I don't get another chance for a long time.

I am so sorry for your losses.  From what I have learnd about myself I would think you will need special blood work & you possibly have a clotting disorder.  It seems many women on here have it & you may have to take lovenox/heparin during pregnancy to prevent your blood from clotting.
I have two different mutations  (MTHFR & PAI-1) & have read that with this women can have  multiple m/c.  I have had two but I am also doing IVF.  I hope you can find out your issues soon.  Best Wishes.

I am so sorry for your losses. I have also had 3 mc, all around 6 weeks, and I know how heartbreaking it is. I am seeing a specialist now and have had a bunch of tests done. Sometimes they can find a reason for the mcs, such as uterine polyps, hormone levels, etc, and oftentimes they can treat those things. For me they have not found a clear reason but are trying some medications to hopefully make it go better next time. Best of luck to you. Send me a message if you would like to talk more.
