Sperm fragmentation test

I have a problem with my embryos, where they stop splitting on day 3 and most of them have fragmentations.  My DH had his sperm analysis and it came back normal.  I ask my DR. a few months back if we can do a sperm fragmentation test and she said there was no reason to do it.  She went on saying that my DH sperm is normal and when I do ICSI they pick the best sperm to place in the egg.  Also, she said the sperm is more understanding than the egg, so it has to be the egg.  Has anyone done this test where there DH sperm was normal.  I don't know what to think anymore, just because I feel deep down inside that this could be a possibility. Please advise

If it will ease your mind, do it.

How ever, don't be sure that's the problem.

My DH did have a sperm analysis done and it came back normal.  I don't know exactly what you mean by x6000.  Everything I've read about the Sperm Fragmentation test sounds exactly of what my situation is. They don't do these tests in the clinics, so they have to be sent out.

If you would like to know if the sperm is causing the problem I think this will be very easy to test, you can try a small number of eggs with donor sperm. If your embryos will not split again you will know where the problem is.

Did you do a sperm analysis x6000?

In most cases the egg is more problematic.

Don't give up!!!! Maybe you should change your lab for better results.
