Success with IUI

Has anyone had success with iui?  I'm growing impatient during my tww.  I'm only 7dpiui and I can't help but feel like my first iui didn't work.  I only had one follicle 18.5mm and DH washed sperm count was 9.8 million.  I guess that's good but I had hoped to have more than one follicle due to my taking clomid and injectibles.  I want to be positive but fear the disappointment that comes along with getting my hopes up.  What a roller coaster of emotions.  Any success stories might be helpful.  I'm feeling slightly bloated and moody but that could be pms symptoms.  I won't test for 5 more days.  Ugh!

I just wanted to let you know that I had two failed IUI attempts, with Clomid and HCG injections (though one seemed to be a timing issue) but received a BFP on the third attempt (!).  Sperm count that time was similar to your DH's - between 8 and 9 million.  There were two follicles, but it's uncertain whether or not they both released because one was fairly small.  

In addition to the IUI, I've been doing acupuncture for over one year, on and offf - began this after a miscarriage last August (2009).  I went in on cycle Day 5 - same day I started Clomid - and the day before the IUI.  In addition, my DH and I used PRESEED (great stuff, highly recommended) and tried on our own the night of the IUI, as well as the following evening.

I'm 31, and he's 43.  Our issues were mainly PCO-like symptoms and high testosterone in me (history of very irregular cycles) and a semi-low sperm count. We were TTC for about three years before this positive result, and I'm very hopeful this one stays with us!  I wish you all the best and am sending ++++++++ vibes! :)

I did clomid and trigger shot the day before IUI.

I would wait another day or two to test to make sure that the trigger is out or you can test now and if you get a bfn then you know when you test again if it may be a true bfp and not the trigger. Good luck!

i tried clomid, but was unresponsive, then moved onto to injectables and trigger, which i did for 5 cycles with timed intercourse which i fell pregnant in january but it ended in misscarrige and then 1 more cycle of injectables and trigger, then moved on to  injectables, trigger and iui which i'm now 14 weeks pregnant

Did you all use injectibles, clomid, femara or all natural before your iui?  I took clomid and used 7 injections of Bravelle over a 12 day period.

It may still be early but how many days past IUI and trigger are you?

I've been experiencing some lower back aches (haven't done anything physical so not sure why back aches) as well as some minor cramps from time to time.  My boobs don't hurt and aren't tender (at least not yet) but I have been so moody.  I'm hoping to test on day 28 of my cycle but my cycles are usually 30-32 days in length.  Do you think it might be too early on CD 28

i had spotting 10dpo but i always did from the trigger shot and cause it never turned into a full blown AF i decided to test at 11dpo

My second round of IUI worked. I thought AF was about to show up and to my surprise she didn't show. :)  For me, prior to AF coming, I usually get mild cramping, decreased sex drive, ance break out in my chin area and moodiness.

I had some lower abdomin cramps that I didn't recognize and that is why I tested. I didn't have many symptoms until a few days ago and now how full blown morning sickness which is really ALL day sickness. I am sleepy too but that is about it.

my first iui was successful and now 14 weeks pregnant but that was with fsh and trigger,

My 1st IUI was successful. I am now 7 wks pg. I only had 1 follicle at 20.5 with injectables and clomid. I took my 1st hpt after IUI at 11dp trigger and 9dp IUI and got my BFP. I wish you the best! Good luck!
