When I was ttc I would schedule all dental appointments at the beginning of my cycle. Even when you are pregnant it's OK to go to the dentist though since they can take special precautions.
Good luck to you this cycle!!! I am really hoping for a bfp for you.
it's ok to go to dentist. just make sure you they know you are trying to conceive and when they take xray, just make sure they know what they are doing.
Sept 27th, i am going to have my treatment.
take care
Heather, i have been going for dentist appts since starting ttc. I haven't had an xray in a few years though. I just tell the dentist i'm going through fertility treatments and don't want to do xrays. I'm pretty sure the dentist will understand
Thanks so much for your responses! I think I'll call tomorrow and set up a dentist appointment. I'll let them know I'm TTC and see what they say about the X-rays.
Thanks again!
:-)
Hi girls,
Just thought I'd update you on the dental issue :-) I just went today. I told them I was TTC, so they covered me with a double led mat for the X-rays. Also, I guess the cavity wasn't as bad as I thought...and everything else looked good...so I'll be going back next Tuesday to have it filled.
...oh, and by the way, I called one of the nurses at my RE's office before going, and she said x-rays with a led mat is fine before ovulation. It shouldn't hurt the eggs, especially with the led mat protecting everything.
Thanks again for answering my post!
:-)
Hi Heather...i got pregnant on a natural cycle when I had a root canal...maybe it does the trick :) so go ahead and get that cavity filled and stay positive
Ooooh, thanks, G_S! Hopefully it will bring me some good luck too!!! Hope you and your little bean are doing well!
:-)
I just came across this post a laughed to myself a little bit! We have been TTC for almost 2 years...7 IUIs...etc etc...I finally had had enough and HAD to plan to have my wisdom teeth out...had the consult ...was all scheduled for surgery 2 weeks later...Found out we were pregnant 4 days before the day of surgery to have them out ;)
Im going with you G_S ;) Theres something to this teeth business ;) Have a great day!
Wow, so many coincidences! My DH just had his wisdom teeth out a few weeks ago, so I'm hoping it works on the guy's end as well!! :)
Wow! Maybe I should go back and ask if I can have some more dental work done ;-) LOL! Congrats on your pregnancy, HudgWife!
