I really don't know how much I can really help you.But heres my story. I had my IVF cycle in May and am now 7 weeks preg with twins. As far as I know they did not check if I have a blood clotting disorder or if my blood is too thick etc but since the day of my ET ,I have been on 20 mg of Heparin(inj) which is a blood thinner. I know that everyone who undergoes IVF at my doc's place are prescribed that dosage after IVF and I guess they do it as a precaution...
Yes it does help. Thank you. I just saw my doctor who dismissed the whole idea as unnecessary and unlikely. I think it is time to find a new clinic...
Good luck finding a new place.Hope that works out for you.
I have a clotting disorder. It is called protein s deficiency. It can cause miscarriage in pregnancy. My blood clots too much and I can get a blood clot in the placenta. I was on Heparin for both pregnancies.
There are other clottng disorders that can also cause problems. MTHFR and protein C are two of them.
Factor V is another blood clotting disorder. I have heterozygot (one gene, not two) Factor V and have had two miscarriages.
I believe there is a standard group of test they will run if a blood clotting disorder is suspected. If I were you, I would ask if your doctor (or a new doctor) if they can run one of these blood panels for you.
Good luck!
