Testing for recurrent miscarriages - what are kind?

Hi there, I had 2 miscarriages in a row.. so finally my RE will be doing some testings to me and also to my dh.. I really don;t have any idea what are they going to do? Are they just going to collect some blood from us? The nurse also said about Biopsy... I was not really paying attention when she was telling me the steps though... so Ladies any insight?

Thank you...

I had 2 m/c in a row this year and my RE did test for chromosomes for me and my husband, Antibodies for me and also MTHFR for me. It is a good thing for your RE to do the test of MTHFR.I'ts a blood test for genes abnormalties. There are other tests to but those are the important ones.Good luck

I, too, have had recurrent miscarriages.  My RE did chromosome testing (which is a blood test), and I know that there is another panel of blood tests they do to test for other genetic factors(I remember my doctor saying this requires taking many vials of blood, and is very expensive if your insurance doesn't cover it).  I believe the biopsy is of the uterus (I haven't had this done) to see what is going on there with your uterus.  I hope this helps.  I wish you the best of luck in your journey- let us know how everything goes.
