Have you tried DHEA as a supplementation? I read that it not only helps you develop better quality eggs, it also reduces the chances of miscarriages. Should be taken for 4 months, the longer, the better.
I am in Vietnam. We decided to come here for the extremely low costs..found an egg donor and will find out if we have any good embryos tomorrow
Good Luck
Tina
how did the transfer go? I pray you are happily prego right now! im trying for the 4th time hopefully May. was suppose to transfer on march 16th but lining was too low at 6.8mm and this was after we gave it more time. (another 2 mnths of waiting) uhh doctor said minimum of 7.0mm for lining. gonna try acu & new med...having hard time focusing. had 2 early misscarriages and one big fat blue line! Anyway I wanted to find out how the "natural cycle" went for ya
I realize this is an old thread and hope you all have had babies since, if you have please post to encourage others. The reason I am writing is I need to share my experience. Long story short, I have had two miscarriages and over the past year have been struggling to thicken my lining with all forms of estrogen/estrodil and even an experimental shot that did not work. We could not get my lining over a 6.1 no matter what we tried. And yes, I too had hoped 6.1 was thick enough to hold the embryo and it wasn't.
Anyhow, as a last ditch effort we're trying a NATURAL CYCLE, transfer is today. Yesterday my lining was a little over 8, NATURALLY - no meds. The doctor is thrilled for the first time with the look of my lining and so am I. My husband and I do wish someone had mentioned this earlier. I have not found anything on any of the threads about "natural cycle". This is important information, apparently my body does not like the synthetic estrogen. Just wanted to throw this out there so you too can ask your doctor. I am now doing a progesterone suppository. After years of shots and horrid mood swings we are having success with my lining thickening naturally, who knew?!?
Good luck everyone, keep you posted!
I don't know if there is anything that can thicken it now. What I do know is I was put on prometrium (progesterone). Don't know if this helps to answer your question but is how they are treating me. I wish you the best and can totally relate to the worry...
I am in the same situation this month..my lining was 5.5 mm on the day 13 scan and I was on estrace pills for two days...did the Ovidrel shot on day 13 and IUI on day 14 at which time my RE asked me not to continue with estrace..since my natural progesterone has been higher in previous cycles, he did not give me any supplements...
am a little worried on how it will go.. I hope the thin lining doesn't prevent implantation for me..
is there anything I could do to thicken it now?
This is encouraging, thank you. I am currently 10 days past trigger and we are doing a timed cycle rather than IUI or IVF this month. Best of luck to you with your cycle too!
The meds will help thicken you lining. RE's say that the lining needs to be 8mm, but lots and lots of ladies get preggers on a much thinner lining. The one thing to remember is, if you conceive naturally, their linings are measured.
I am also fighting a thin lining. Mine was 4.5mm last Tuesday, and my RE upped my estrace dose. I am doing a frozen cycle. I go back this Tuesday to see if my lining has improved.
I wish you luck and yes, keep the faith! It can happen!!!
oh ps... i did get pregnant when my lining when it measured around 5.5mm. I m/c'd but it was due to adhesions, not my thin lining
GOOD LUCK! Baby dust coming your way! When is your transfer?
