This might be grose, but I need advice

So I've been taking Progesterone suppositories for the past 3 nights.  And for those who've been on them you know that it can be grose.  But this afternoon I started feeling as though I'm getting yeast infection.  Now I don't know what to do, should I continue with the progesterone and try some natural remedies (like a baking soda bath) and continue with progesterone; should I take monistat and progesterone; or should I stop taking progesterone which I don't want to do?

Nurses center at the clinic is already closed and I'd hate to page a nurse on call.
Did anyone experience this? Or just have any suggestions?

Once again sorry for TMI

I had just had an IUI and the yeast infection came towards the end of using the progesterone suppositories.  I used the monistat 7 day cream.  My nurse said that was the best.  I know they say monistat is safe during pregnancy, but you would have to get the approval from your dr.  I don't know if the monistat would help just on the outside.  I did use monistat at night.  I believe I took the progesterone around 6 and the monistat around 10.  Please listen to your dr. because I am not 100% on what I did at the time.  Good luck and blessings to you.

Did you use monistat vaginally?  how did you time it?  Normally I tak monistat at night but now I have to take progesterone at night.

I called the clinic this morning and spoke to the nurse.  She wouldn't perscribe Deflucan just because there is a chance that I could be pregnant.  She said to continue with progesterone and use monistat but just on the outside.  This might not really help.  But I'm going there on Monday so maybe I'll get more info.

I read an article in the magazine specifically on Y.Infection and they suggest different remedies, one was yougurt and water ******.  I know that ****** is not suggested when Ovulating.  but I wonder its ok to do it now.  I'm 6 DPO IUI.

When I used the progesterone suppositories I got a yeast infection as well.  It was towards the end so I used monistat.  I am very sensitive in that area as well.  Now I take premetrium pills vaginally 3x's a day, so far I've been blessed with no yeast infections.  Good luck and hope u feel better!!

I'm pretty sure its infection, I have this uncomfortable burning and itching.  I'm very sensitive in that sense.  When I travel I take my own towel, because every little thing can cause an infection for me.

I'll probably soak in a  baking soda water tonight and have some yougurt for tonight.    And they I realized that I might get someone at the clinic tomorrow morning they work every day from 7:30 to 8:30.  Maybe they can perscribe Diflucan and then I don't have to deal with monistat.

I do try to push it in as far as it goes, but still there some chalky discharge through out the day.

Thanks for listening and thanks for advise

ok..so heres TMI...lol...i noticed that then i would just insert the suppository...if i didnt push it in far ...i would get residue in my underwear...but when i really push it up far...it doesnt happen...i also noticed that if i run water over the pill...it was like a lubricant and went in further...so if i crossed the line with TMI i am sorry...lol
but maybe could it not be going in far enough? but if you are experiencing a burning and itching,...maybe it is a yeast infection or allergic reaction. if your not in pain i would continue and call first thing on moday morning...good luck...let us know what happened!

I don't think you should stop taking the progesterone.  If you are not pg that could through off your cycle and if you are pg that could be bad for the baby.  I would ask the pharmacist maybe?  Or if you can, sweat it out till monday..

Do you think you have a yeast infection because of itching or because of white clumpy stuff?  The reason I ask is because the brand of progesterone that I was on, Crinone, would leave a white clumpy byproduct behind.  Similar to wet tissue paper.

Good luck.. hopefully it will clear up,
