Too much dosage???

My RE has recommended me to take a higher dosage of Follistim for this cycle, but I'm afraid it's too much meds!!  Tell me what you think...
Here's my past Follitim history:

Cycle #1: 75 units of Follistim/day....had 4 mature follicles at time of IUI.  Also resulted in hyperstimulation.
Cycle #2: 50 units of Follistim/day...had 1 mature follicle at time of IUI.
Cycle #3: 75 units of Follistim/day...had 1 mature follicle at time of IUI.

None of these resulted in a BFP.

Now, my RE recommended me to take 125 units of Follistim/day...we will do an IUI with it again.
Does that seem like a really high dosage??  Has anyone else taken this much Follistim dosage for a cycle? The RE hasn't been able to find anything wrong with DH or myself...we are classified as "unexplained infertility".

Any thoughts??

wow, I take 225 of Follistem!  I did this last cycle in preparation for IUI, and unfortunately DH was out of town when I needed him so the IUI got scrapped. This cycle we are trying IVF for the first time, and I take 225 units.  I haven't had any problems with it yet. I am 39 with unexplained infertility, beenttc for 1 year.

Glad to hear that you have all the preggo symptoms!!!  I wish you the best of luck.  I feel better when I go straight to bloodwork instead of continuing to use HPTs.  It seems to take a lot of pressure off me.  You do what you think is best and be sure to let me know how it comes out!  I'll say a prayer that you get your BFP!
I'm also glad to hear that you did 150 units of Follistim and it didn't harm you.  I think I'll go ahead with the 125 units like the Dr. recommended.

Thanks for sharing your experience!  Good luck again!!!
