Sometime it just takes time for your body to get use to his sperm. I myself didnt conceive until after trying for a year with my husband. Sure enough when our bodies came into sync with each other it finally happened. It takes a healthy couple 6months to a year and even then its only a 25% chance...soo keep your head up and keep trying!!! Good luck
It might depend on how long you were on the pill and how long you have been off. A lot of factors. They have over the counter ovulating test. Try one of them
An average healthy couple can take anywhere from 1-2 years to naturally conceive. 6 months is a very typical time to have been trying, so as of now assume nothing is wrong. The problem many couples have is that when they are trying to conceive they have high expectations and assume it will happen the first few times, and it doesn't. There are a lot of factors that play into it. On average you have a 20% chance of conception each month. Try not to get discouraged yet. Some hints as well.
You need to learn when you're ovulating and your most fertile days. If your cycles are regular you can count back 21 days from when your next cycle is due. This will include your fertile week, as well as when you ovulate. You want to have sex every other day leading up to ovulation and then for 2 days after. Remember that more is not always better. Having sex too frequently can actually drop the males sperm count, because his body doesn't have enough time to produce more. You want to allow around 36 hours between each ejaculation for best results.
If your cycles are irregular, just have sex every other day for 2 weeks or so after your cycle ends. Sperm survives for 5 days in the female body and up to 7 days in perfect conditions, so you don't have to go too crazy. If in another year you still haven't yet gotten pregnant, you can see a doctor and have fertility testing done to make sure everything is ok on both ends.
