You will need your period to start before you can start the clomid...I too take 1500mg of metformin day...without the metformin clomid doesn't work for me, but together they work magic...now we are just waiting for the sperm to meet the egg...good luck to you on your journey TTC...

Aww well i hope AF arrives soon then you can get on with the fun part haha.

Iv been refered for IVF i was accepted last year infact i still have all the injections in my cupboard i was suppost to start 9thOct then did a test and it was positive unfortunatly ended in miscarriage @ 5wk6d.
I only have 1 tube you see so therefore that entitiles me to IVF but i have no problem conceiving ( 2 miscarriages, 2 ectopics) its just getting it or keeping the buggar there lol.
So weve decided to give clomid 2 months if no joy were going for IVF, its all a little silly though with IVF when we went for our appointment it all depends where you live as to how many rounds you get, im entitiled to 2 but if i lived a mile up the road id get 3 silly right?? Also because of my age ((25)) they will only transfer 1 embrio at a time unless they only get 2 and i get a choice then weather or not i want both silly again right??

Are you taking anything else like multivitamis, folic acid & asprin?

Best of luck hunni :-D

Hi Hun,

Unfortunatly i dont know much about metformin only its suppost to regulate your periods.

However i do know a little about clomid. I took this last Dec and i conceived 1st go, unfortunatly this ended in a ectopic pregnancy but i have just started taking clomid today!

My doc told me a woman with no fertility issues has a 10% chance of conception every month and that with clomid its 70% (( big difference right )) although there is no guarantee this will defo work, your chance of a multipul pregnancy goes up too!. Clomid works by helping you produce more, bigger and better eggs.
You can only ever take this for 6 cycles tho (( so my doc said )) and if it doesnt work then it never will.

***plenty of baby dust your way hun***
