UTI meds and HPT

Hi all...i feel like a post-a-holic, i apologize if so!

I felt like i was starting to get a UTI (im 11DPO), i never get these, in fact the only one ive had in a while was last oct, during m/c.

so i took some AZO standard this am when i got home from work and then when i woke up this afternoon to potty.....i POAS (addict) and saw a faint line.

i wondered if this could be from the stupid dye or whatever that's in that medicine? can anyone advise me?

I know it doesn't affect the results of a urinealysis drug test, so I wouldn't think it would affect an hpt, either. (I don't take a lot of UA's, but I give them.) You might read the package insert just to be sure.

I searched online, and couldn't find anything that said that Azo could effect a pregnancy test! It would be wonderful if you're pregnant! Let us know as soon as you find out!

I am feeling the same way... I am waiting for AF....2 days late..but I had the metho shot and m/c on Dec. 25th.  I am going to the Dr. tomorrow to see if it's a UTI or whatever....  I son't think it would efffect the hpt...so I think you got aa BFP!!!

o thank you! i googled the crapola outta AZO and HPT and couldnt find anything either! i am at work right now, its 1:15 am where im at and i brought a friggin pee cup and a dipstick to work......how sad is that!?!??!??

I've read just about everything under the sun to (I was checking to see if my back pills would affect test results).  Every site I visited said the ONLY drugs that would give you a false positive are those like Pregnyl that have some of the hormone in them (makes sense).  Medicine for a UTI definitely shouldn't give you a false positive.
