When to go in for beta after IVF?

hey everyone!  I just went through the IVF process and I'm in the dreaded two week wait.  My ER was 2/28, with a 5 day transfer on Thursday, 3/5.  My doctor's office just called and scheduled a beta test for this thursday, 3/12.  I'm glad it's so soon, so I can stop obsessing about every little symptom, but can they really get results that early?  Everything I've read says it has be 12 days from the transfer, whereas mine is 12 days from retrieval.  Is this too soon?

You can definitely get an accurate beta at 12 days post retrieval although HPT may give you a false negative.

You are right, the beta is usually done after two weeks of transfer. But a hpt gives you result as early as 8 dpt. So I guess a blood test might give accurate results.
