I have a monitor, too. The only drawback with a monitor is you can only test one time a day w/fmu. Then not again til the next day at the same time. I only had a 12hr surge this last cycle and actually o'd right around the time the monitor went peak. I had forewarning from the opks and still got bd in time. The monitor would have put it at the following day which was not true. I do love my monitor, but if you have short surges, it can miss them.
hey i just wanted to tell you..i used the clearblue digital where if your ovulating a smily face pops up..and if you not its just blank..i find these the best and easier you can ever miss!!
try them out!
GOOD LUCK.
Thanks, guys! :-) I will surely start on testing as soon as I'm done with my period.
I always liked the Clearblue easy opk sticks the best and found them the most reliable. I tried some other generics and the Answer but I always got paranoid they weren't working and went back to the Clearblue. I found Walmart had the Clearblues the cheapest too at about $16.97 for 7. Good luck!
They come from the drug store. Walgreen's, CVS and I think Walmart, too. It's a box then in the box is the tube. It says they're only good for a month. But, I tested them 3 mos later and they still were accurate.
Here is the website to checkout the clear blue easy monitor..

If you have a dollartree store in your area some of them have ovulation sticks. I found they worked so much better for me than any other ones. I sometimes had a hard time reading the lines in the answer when O was close but with the dollartree I could tell so much easier.
Tina, where can you buy a tube of 20 strips for $20? Did you buy it online? What site? Thanks!
I've found that the cheapest one out there has been just as effective as the more expensive ones. The tube of 20 strips by Answer is about $20. They have been every bit as accurate for me as CBE and much less $. It's nice that there are 20 rather than 5 or 7 in the other boxes.
