Worried like Everyone Else but really need Help

My husband and I have tried IVF three times already and this is number four. I have never joined a forum because I never got pregnant so I did not think I needed to know anything else.

I am new to the forums and do not understand all the abbreviations but here it goes.

I had my transfer back on November 15. Waited the two weeks and Dr says I am pregnant. Yesterday Nov 30th at night I noticed a streak of really dark brownish blood. Spend all night crying.

Call Dr today and head nurse advised for me to stay off my feet not to worry and that they would see me Sunday morning for blood test. streak went away during day and now tonight it came back again. Is this normal? Should I start hitting the panic button? Is this what everyone is talking about implantation blood? Really would love some advise until I see DR so that I do not go crazy. Thanks

Hi, and welcome! I am fairly new too, (Oct)....I will be honest with you, I don't know a thing about IVF, but maybe since this is brownish blood, it is old blood from your cervix and it just making it's way down, "cleaning out". I had this too, which is what my doctor told me, along with the standard.."don't worry!:..easy for him to say!

I'll be praying for you and your little one! Everyone on here is SO NICE, and SO SUPPORTIVE....you have come to the right place!

Hello!!! and welcome!!! This was our first IVF cycle and I had Embryo transfer (ET) on the 18th.... I had a drop of brown blood on the 28th so I called the Dr. in a panic... He told me not to worry and to come in for bloodwork the next day...so I did and it was Positive... Do you have cramping with the bleeding???  I also talked to one of the nurses and she said that she worries more about cramping rather than bleeding b/c I had 2 embryos transferred and she thinks that one did not take and that was the reason for the blood???  I know many women who bleed early on in pregnancy and things end up just fine!!!  Did you go for bloodwork yet????  Oh, and drink LOTS of water!!!   Wwaiting to hear from you.....

No cramping or any pain associated with my period. I usually get these really bad back pains and not a sign of them. I had three eggs implanted in me.

It seems to happen towards the end of the day. During the day so far I do not have any spots or streaks but at about 10 or 11 pm is when I get one long streak of about 2 to three inches of a brownish to almost dark blood. Yesterday was the second night it happened.

My appointment for blood work is not until tomorrow.

Are you on your feet all day??? If it is happening at night, then maybe you need to take it easy... I was told, no exercising (darn!!!) no BDing and no lifting over 10 pounds....also, I notice that If i do too much, I start to cramp...so I know to take it easy....Maybe that is all it is....any 3 embryos???!!! Wow...that is probably what is going on...3 embryos implanting... Good luck to you!!!  Keep us posted!!! Jacquie
