beta levels

Hi ladies,

I had my first IVF on day three which was June 4 2010, today i got my bloodwork results and im pregnant.  My question is regarding my beta level which was 83.5.  Is that normal or should i worry.

Unfortunately, you can't really tell much from the first beta other than yes or no.  After you have your second beta on Friday, you will be better able to gauge whether your pregnancy is normal or not.

How many days post retrieval are you?  If you are around 14 days post retrieval, it's a good #.  The most important thing is for your beta to double every 2-3 days.  The level is not as important as the rate of increase.
Congrats on your positive beta and good luck!!!!

I used these charts when looking at my beta but like Helen 72 said, the rate of increase is more important than the first number.
