Hey AndreaG-- This month I'm on 2.5mg Femara CD 3-7. Last month we tried 50mg Clomid CD 3-7 and got one follicle. I got a BFP with no meds, just an IUI in June but m/c'd. All 3 cycles I O'd on my own. Honestly, I'd love twins. That may be why I'm disappointed with just one good follicle this cycle. ; ) My RE said today "one follicle, one baby"-- she's eternally optimistic!
I got the call this afternoon that our IUI may be tomorrow... they'll do blood work first in the AM and then decide. Here we go again!
I am on follistim...that's it. I was never given the option to convert to IVF...possibly because we havent discussed that as an option yet. we do have an appointment with the doctor on 11/26 to discuss IVF but havent had any formal discussions on the topic of IVF yet, maybe that is why it has not been recommended. While it is disappointing to cancel, I do know I would not want to be in a selective reduction situation. I suppose we will try naturally and see if we get lucky? I am okay with multiples...just not too many.
Yoga chick, what meds are you on?
I'm sure you must be frustrated! I'm so sorry. If it helps, my friend's RE wasn't so smart. He went ahead with the IUI and she ended up with 4 implanting. Had to get rid of 2. Definitely not the best situation to be in.
My RE did say that if we got too many follicles she would recommend converting my cycle to IVF. Sadly, we barely have 2 follicles this month (19mm and 13mm). What meds are you using to get 11?
That really stinks that it was cancelled. So, will the RE just not do the IUI then? My DH also has low count and high motility. I would definatly try naturally with all those follies if your RE wont do the IUI. Good Luck
Hi sorry i have no experiance of this but i was thinking could they not convert to ivf or harvest some eggs to use later if needed
