clomid and hcg trigger

heloo all ladies
i had taken clomid a 3-7days (50 mg) last month.
then on cd12the dr did an US and told me tht i ahve 3 matured follicles and also gave mean hcg trigger shot ad told us to time intercourse fort he nxt three days.
but i dint get a BFP
this month again i am taking clomid  50 mg on day 3-7.but i was thinking wheher i neeed 2 get an hcg tigger shot coz i always ovulate on my own.if i am not taking hcg shot will my egges get ovulated on different days

The trigger is a good idea even if you DO ovulate on your own as it helps to ensure all of the follicles rupture for ovulation.If you do not use it, you may not get each of the follies to ovulate and to answer your other question, you will only ovulate once, ovulation will not occur over days... I ovulate on my own as well, but the trigger is also part of my protocol. Good Luck to you!
