Moodiness is definately a possible side effect of clomid. Intercourse can be painful while on it because it can dry up your cervical mucus a bit.  Try a sperm friendly lubricant like preseed, and ensure you are staying away from anything that can dehydrate you around ovulation time (alcohol, caffeine, etc.).  Increase your water intake as well.  These things should help a bit.  Good luck.

Hey Wannabe27,
I am on my first cycle of Clomid as well, For the most part ive had moddiness. Intercourse shouldnt be a side affect, but everyone is different and im not a doctor, so im not for sure. I've been trying to concieve for 11months now and no success. It is my first cycle on Clomid and i will let you know what the results are in about a week or so. I know exactly how you feel when it comes to feeling down. the worst feeling is when you get a BFN or AF shows up. My husband and i actually got pregnant November 2008 and M/C in lat January. It was THE hardest thing because the baby wouldnt pass and i had to have a D&c (where they remove the baby) So everyone pretty much said we would get pregnant right away. Well obviously that hasnt happened. Biggest pet peeve is when someone says to 'stop trying' that is impossible when you want something so bad. So im hoping this Clomid works and if it does then my advice to you would be to not give up hope. And when God wants it to happen it will. Sorry for the rambling and i hope this helped you a little.

clomid can cause different type of side effects like what you mention and more...if you aren't feeling good using it...ask your doctor for another med or another plan for you. Good luck.
