ectopic tubal pregnancy

Hi.  I am a week post surgery from an ectopic pregnancy.  I went in for emergency surgery and thankfully they were able to clean me up after my tube ruptured at the far end and didnt have to remove my tube. They also found an ovarian cyst.  I am healing but still sore physically and emotionally as it was our first pregnancy after trying for 8 months.  I am now sitting here wondering how long it will take for my cycle to resume functioning.  My MD said I was healing wonderfully so I am hopeful things will heal fast.  I want to try again after two normal cycles as was suggested by my MD.  How long do I get to wait till I get my period back???

Mine came about 27 days after my tube was removed.  I sat out one cycle after that and then started again.  I got pg using IUI two months after that.  If the ectopic is resolved with surgery, it usually doesn't take as long as waiting for methotrexate to work.

Best of luck to you!!

Everyone is different, but on the average about 4-6 weeks.
