AF symptoms have subsided, or may be I have stopped reading into every ache and pain.

Usually my face becomes very rough and I have sore bbs before my af arrives but this time my face is shining smooth and no sore bbs... my belly feels kind of sore though...

I am so glad I found you all :-)

Oh so sorry, I got confused.  I hadn't realized that you had already taken a beta test.  Bummer. :(

After my 2nd iui my temp didn't rise right away and I called me RE.  He said with confirmed mature follies and 10,000 units of HCG trigger, there was NO way I hadn't ovulated.  The temp did eventually go up, it just went up slower than I was used to.  Have you considered temping?  I always liked it because it gave me a visual representation of what was going on.

If AF doesn't show up by Monday I would still call dr.  He can tell you whether to just wait or if there is something they should do.  Once you know you aren't pg, you just want AF to hurry up and get there so you can try again.  Hang in there. It'll happen!! :)

Thanks a lot for the info.

no BFP, beta hcg 16 dpiui was less than 2 :-(((

If I ovulated,  AF would have arrived by today. I though hcg trigger means sure ovulation.

I have never been able to figure out when I ovulate.I have tried opk for several months with fmu and got +ves 4-5 days in a row or multiple time a cycle.

Oh my gosh girl, if it were me, I'd run out and get an hpt today.  This far along you shouldn't get any false negatives.  If AF doesn't come this weekend, I'd call your dr on Monday for sure.  Have you had any symptoms?  My early symptoms were mild heart burn and sore bbs (around the edges mostly). Wow, I'm excited for you.  This is a GREAT sign!! :)

Here was what we did:
1st IUI - 25mg of clomid cd5-9, u/s cd12 and hcg trigger that evening 11 p.m., IUI cd14 at 11 a.m. (36 hours after trigger shot).  I got BFP but it was ectopic.
2nd IUI - 12.5mg of clomid cd5-9 and everything else was the same but result was BFN.
3rd IUI - No clomid, u/s on cd10 and cd12.  HCG trigger on cd12 at 11 pm.  IUI on cd14 at 11 am.  Got BFP 11dpiui.

The best is to get a donor that also has rh-  That would be better for you.  Are you sure you are RH-?  I wouldn't want you to get a donor rh- and then you be positive.  Talk to your obgyn or RE about Rhogam.  Take a look at the rhogam website too.  It explains clearly about rh- mothers with rh pos. partners.

I have had cysts after each time.  They tend to go away after your next cycle.  Then you get back up on that horse!  I know what you mean about all of the meds and side effects.  Just today I had a weird echoing in my right ear and thought Oh my god, which med is making this happen!!!!!  It has subsided but it was like I just got off an airplane in my right ear only and it was on and off.  Anyway, stay positive (I know easier said than done) and don't give up!  Hugs~~

I am really confused about the Rh- factor, which I am. Is is harder to get pregnant if you have that blood type? Is there a certain blood tyoe that works best on getting pregnant with Rh- type? I am using a donor so that might be helpful! tHANKS

My beta hcg 16dpiui was less than 2 so BFN. No AF so far. Now I have to wait for AF and start another round of clomid.

My Dr didnt check my progesterone levels so I am not sure if I ovulated.

I am scared that clomid and hcg trigger didnt cause ovulation and ended up giving me cysts...

I want to find out what is wrong with me. All the medication is making me very nervous.

Take care all.

How are you doing?  Any better?  Try to stay positive, healthy and have you tried accupuncture yet???  It has been said to help with fertility.  You sound super healthy from what I have read in your posts.  It'll happen!!  I wish you the best!!!!!

Thank you for the info I will look it up!  You know I need to start asking my RE more questions!  DH and I are pretty much just taking his word on everything. I think he's great but I need to be more pro-active in all of this!!

I'd ask your RE if the RH neg. is going to be an issue and if you will be taking rhogam.  I think it has to be o neg.  But I would bring it up anyway.  Often RE forget about that.  It's normally not part of the protocal.  You can learn a lot about it on http://www.rhogam.com/English/Patients/index.aspx

I am also one of you ladies with unexplained. I have been trying for 2 years and have had 3 IUIs with NO success. But SDteacher you stated that you have O neg and your dh with A pos and that is a challenge on getting pregnant. Can you tell me why? My dh and I  are A pos and O neg too and I have never heard of that possible problem. Thank you

Thank you all for your kind words. I pray that we all get our BFPs soon...

lola4,
I  will ask my Dr about endometriosis. I am o+ve and DH is b+ve(no wonder he is such an optimist). My parents are the same combination so I dont think that would be the issue with us.

SDteacher,

I have given up caffeine :-( I dont smoke or drink and eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. One thing I want to do is reduce my carb intake.

Good luck to all of you.

Hi Milliques,
We too are unexplained. I am on my 2nd round of clomid and doing timed intercourse instead of the IUI this month. If it does not happen this month I am going to ask about being tested for Endometriosis and asking if our blood types don't "mix"well. I checked on line and it said that woman who started their period at a very young age and who have cycles that are 27 days or shorter could be at risk. I started my period the day I turned 11 and my cycle lasts about 26-27 days. I don't have any other symptoms such as pain, heavy bleeding during period, or periods that last for more than 6 days, but they say many woman show no symptoms at all. Anyway, that's where I am at right now. I know exactly how you feel and am crossing my fingers that you get your BFP real soon!

DH and I are also diagnosed w/ unexplained infertility. We are currently going through our 3rd iui. My RE also said we will go through 3 cycles of  clomid/iui. It's hard when you don't know what the problem is. Have you tested this month? Maybe you still have a chance! It's not over until af shows! I hope you get your BFP soon!!!!! Good luck!

It is hard to accept the unexplained reasoning... I had that same diagnosis.  Turns out my DH sperm has an increase of WBC that could be interfering with fertilization .  Additionally he is A pos. blood and I am o neg which also makes it more challenging.  Challenging is the key word here.... a BFP can still be achieved!  My IVF transfer is Sunday.  You just have to keep trying and eventually it will happen.  Making sacrafices such as taking out caffeine completly from OUR diets and alcohol hopefully will do the trick. Have you and your DH made any lifestyle changes such as those?  If you are going to try for #3 IUI maybe go all the way together by making some of these changes.  My girlfriend had a difficult time getting pregnant.... finally after a year of trying, her DH (and her) quit drinking socially and they both cut coffee.  She was prego soon after that!  Best of luck to you and try to stay positive!
