for those who are doing ivf

Ladies can you tell me on what dosage where you while doing ivf? i'm on 225 and i'm wondering if i should had a higher dose? it seems that again i only have around 10 follicles and i'm not that pleased.Even though i'm doing the short protocol so it supposed to make less follies.

hello!  what med? i am on ivf cycle 2 and i used gonal f 150 for  days and had 14 follies. e2 was great but at transfer this past sat. doc only got 3 eggs. i was very upset, not sure why so few eggs. all  i know is that sometimes they do not do the highest dose because they do not want you to end up with only a few dominant follies.

I had 11 follies but 15 mature eggs were retrieved.  Your dosage is determined not by the # of follicles but by e2 levels.  My ob changed my Gonal-F dosage twice after looking at how my e2 responded.  Note that different people respond very differently to the same dosage of stims.

yeah - I totally agree with Helen.  Just to give you an idea of how different it can be person to person - I have PCOS so my ovaries are polycystic and don't need much to stimulate.  I always do a dose of 75 of follistim!  Once I was even lowered to 50 (but that was for IUI).  I used 75 of follistim for 10 days this cycle, I had 14 follicles with 17 eggs retrieved and ended up with 7 fertilized and ultimately 2 blasts for a day 5 transfer.

My good friend who only has one ovary has had to use 425/day of follistim!  I think it REALLY just depends on the person.  Everyone is different

Girls i have been using follistim this cycle but had gonal f the first one.It seems like i have the same reaction.I'm not sure yet of how many eggs cause my retrieval will be monday or tuesday.My e2 levels are great my Re is happy with all the hormone levels.
The first cycle with this dosage i got 12 eggs and 9 fertilized.But like you ALT i only had 2 5day blasts. I too have PCO and probrably that is why at the end we have so few embryos left.I think our condition doesn't give us good quality eggs.I will keep you updated.Thank you girls

Hello All.. first time here... I am pleading to anyone out there. I have had 2 IVFs years ago, and now started my 3rd. After Using up almost all of my Gonal F - I don't have enough follicles to continue. I am to start a New Cycle next month with a Micro flare Lupron. I have used up all monies available and NEED more Meds.. I got ONE MORE chance.. PLEASE!! if there is anyone out there with any Gonal F or Bravelle.. Please! I just want to try one more time... it's going to work! Please! And Thank you! ***@****

I am starting 75 IU of HMG and 300 IU of FSH.  (this is in the PM) and I am on Lupron subQ in AM (.025) and 1 baby aspirin.  

My doc has me on Follistim and Menopur.  Has anyone tried this?
