getting pregnant same cycle as hsg

Are there any concerns about getting pregnant after an hsg but during the same cycle?  My dr said it was "ok" but gave me the option of stopping my fertility drugs (I saw a new dr mid-cycle) and waiting until my next cycle to do the iui, which concerned me.  Why would she give me that option if it were totally risk free?
I would be having the hsg on day 7 of my cycle, then doing the iui on approx day 12 or 13

Absolutely! I had my dye test on CD 5 then ovulated on CD 14, and it worked like a charm! I really wouldn't worry! Women do dye tests the same cycle all the time and end up with healthy pregnancies! :) Ya know, actually with our daughter we didn't know I was already pregnant and my RE did the dye test! We were so scared we were gonna lose her, even the RE was a nervous wreck about it! But we didn't lose her from it! Keep me posted and I'll be looking for your BFP very soon! ;)

Thanks!  I am just so anxious about everything. The dr said the dye would be out of my system quickly and not to worry about it...but of course, I worry anyway

No, I would go for it, seriously! We tried for 9 months straight, started out with clomid for 5 months with iui, no success. Then we switched to injections with iui, bfn. On our 2nd cycle with injections, it was my idea to do a hsg test in the same cycle as my injections/iui cycle and my RE was ALL for it! And guess what, we got pregnant! :) Even if your tubes aren't blocked, the dye will clear your tubes and open them right up so when you go to do your iui a few days later, the sperm will just swim on through with no problems right to your egg(s)! :) I would do it, I'm definately am happy that we did it!! :) Good luck!!
