just curious....

Hi everyone,

I'm just curious...has anyone ever heard that the volume of sperm affects odds of conceiving?  A friend of mine is convinced that she is having a difficult time TTC because she reports the volume of her hubby's sperm is "very little."  I.e.  when he c*** he doesn't produce alot in her mind.  I've advised her to ask her doctor about this issue because i honestly don't know.  I haven't heard of this being necessarily relevant to ttc?  Has anyone else ever heard of this?

Thanks

I think it's kind of like population density...just because a lot doesn't come out, there still might be a good volume of healthy sperm.  In contrast, if "a lot" comes out, it may be a lot of ejaculatory fluid and the same amount of sperm.

When they run the test, volume is one of the things they measure.  I don't know how relavant it is, but they do include it in the test.
