late period, when will I ovulate next?

Hello, I will try to be brief.  My cycle has always been 32 days and I have never missed a period.  We are currently ttc and in Dec my period came on Dec 9th (I was supposed to get it on Dec 2nd).  A pregnancy test and trip to the Dr's office confirmed that I was not pregnant.  My period was due yesterday and nothing.  Does this mean I will get it 32 days from Dec 9th?  When will I ovulate next?

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!

Oooops! I mean for your next cycle, count 16 to 20 days forward and you'll find the approximate time of ovulation. 12 and 16 are the days BEFORE your next period. Sorry about that...

Yeah, most probably you'll get your next period 32 days from the 9th....unless you're pregnant, of course! For some reason, you must have just ovulated a little later than normal last month.

As for when you will ovulate this cycle, you probably already have. Most women ovulate about 12-16 days before their next period is due. So with a 32-day cycle, you probably ovulated sometime between cycle day 16 and 20...which would have been between Christmas and New Years.

For your next cycle, assuming you'll be back to a 32-day cycle again, just start counting from the first day of your period and 12 to 16 days forward and you'll find the approximate time of ovulation. Of course everyone's different, and if you have another "off" month, you could ovulate later again.

Best of luck!
