my doctor never called

So it's officially 10:15 pm and no word from my doctor yet.  I called late last night and left a message about my u/s tomorrow, so they would get it first thing.  I then called first thing in the morning and was told that the doctor "had my message and would get back to me" - I called again at 4:00, and explained that I was hoping maybe he could schedule me for an earlier u/s at their hosp tomorrow, so I was trying to speak to him during the business day - they said they didn't think he could get me any appointment and that he left at noon. So I paged him, and his office called me back 10min later and said he was delivering a baby, and he'd call as soon as he was done. I paged him again at 9:30, and left my cell number - that was almost an hour ago and no word. So I don't even know if they will be checking my endometrium tomorrow, cuz my script just says to check the ovaries. I'm so pissed and frustrated, and trying not to freak out too much, because maybe they'll say my endometrium is perfect and is 8mm - who knows. But the fact that I don't even KNOW if they are checking for it, and that I have to ASK for it, and that I can't even get him to call me back is REALLY upsetting me. My guess is they are not going to report it and I'll never know how thick it was this month. So much for them constantly saying that I shouldn't get stressed out cuz it will lower my chances for success!

HAHAHAHA - I love doctoring my scripts!  Usually I add "stat" to my blood tests so they come back right away, but I'm not sure if the same term applies to u/s's.  So it only said "evalute ovaries" and there was no room underneath, because it said "on 18th day of cycle" below it.  So I just made it say:

"evaluate ovaries/endo" - and I'll just reiterate that they want the ovaries and the endometrium.  Screw 'em all - I'll take care of my OWN healthcare!!! :o)

You know I've wondered the same thing about it not mattering until implantation anyway.  My af hasn't been particularly light or anything, so it must be thickening up sometime along the way.  Try not to stress too much and if you don't get the info you need, tell them you want it done again next cycle.  Good luck with your appt today.

Well, I called again this morning, and they said he's in delivery but they'd page him for me.  Then they called back and said he won't be available til this afternoon (AFTER my u/s) - and he told them to tell me to go ahead with the u/s and he'll read it when it's done.  Yeah, thanks doc - that really gets all my questions answered buddy.  Like ARE they going to check the endometrium (I WILL ask the tech myself) - and IF it is thin, WHAT IS HE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT - apparently I won't get any of this answered until at least tomorrow, and I haven't done my OPK yet but I'm assuming it's going to be positive and I'll O tomorrow.  But I started thinking about it, and I can't see how the endometrial thickness is important until implantation, which shouldn't be for another 5-10days - so maybe there is still time.  For my sake (and his!!!) I hope they tell me the thickness and I hope it's 7-8mm!

Sorry that sucks.  Sometimes it is hard to get a break.  While they are giving you the u/s just ask them casually.  Be like, 'so how thick does my endometrium look?' It seriously takes no effort at all.  They have the probe in there already.  All they have to do is move it over a couple of inches.  Heck they might go ahead and find it first just to get orientated.  It would literally take a whole 30 seconds of her time, if that much.

Good luck tomorrow.  I hope it works out for you.
