ovulation predicter kits

we have been trying to have a second baby and we have had such problems conceiving. First time it happened it was just an "oops" but the best kind!!! Now we have been trying for 1 yr and half maybe longer. I removed my iud 2yrs or so ago and we have been trying since...it got frustrating after a while and i got the ovulation kit and we had tried with them and nada...we went to c ivf clinic and found my husbands semen count was beyond low...but he quit smoking and checked again and it went on the rise by millions!!! so, now we r trying again and i have been doing these damn ovulation kit and i am confused....I check 2 times a day, once at noon and once at 10pm and in the morning my line is a lot more visible but not as dark as the reference line and at nite its so faint its non-existent....now does this mean i am more fertile in the morning? I havent reached full ovulation where the line is as dark as the reference line but its seems so far that 1st test shows i am more fertile in the morning/afternoon then nite...am i right? someone skool me on these kits as i am soooo confused!

The package I have sounds a bit different, but I just got it at a local retailer.  I have tried two different ways: each morning at the same time and each evening at the same time.  Either way it did the same job, but I think doing them in the morning gave me more anxiety because if it were positive he wouldn't be at home for us to do anything about it.  I think the biggest thing is to be consistent in how you are using them.  I get a very faint line each night and then for about 1-2 days it is pretty close to the lines looking the same and then one day it is just really dark!  I've been pregnant more than once doing this.  hope that helps somewhat!  Good luck!!!

I have been using opk for many months.  My testing says to test between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.  no earlier and no later for accurate results.  I usually get a faint line right before my LH surge, but I always get the dark line when I am surging and then a negative, usually the next day, which is when I ovulate.  This month, I got a dark positive at 7:00 p.m. Sat., at 1:15 p.m. Sun and again at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. I think you need to wait for the dark line to be a positive LH surge.  Are you taking temps also?  I can always tell by my temp chart that I was right on with the opk strip.
