so this is whats been going on... so no period for a year, PCOS ... then in october was getting the signs like AF was coming... high temp, ovulation pain , cramping  craving the usual then I started spotting ... and continued spotting for about 12 days, only spotting, brownish color and clotts not alot. ( Neg HPT) Then that stopped and approx two weeks ago, the same symptoms and now I am spotting again, so I am thinking that this may be my normal AF from now on , that's the reason for the question... because I know my body was doing something cause I was hot for like 3 days in a row then  i was back to normal temp.... cramping the pain on the right side ect.. So maybe I did ovulate???? We will see what happens next mth..  keep u posted..

Like the others said, you can't ovulate without releasing an egg. However, it is possible to have a "weak" ovulation where the egg is not as strong or mature. A low progesterone number (under 10) generally indicates a "weak" ovulation (unless it's under 5, in which case it usually means no ovulation). Hope that makes sense.

You can release an egg but it can't meet the sperm because the ovary is blocked. They can check that by doing a dye test

no-since by definition to ovulate is to release an egg.
but you can have an LH surge and not ovulate.
