poor responder

I have just had a cycle of IVF abandoned due to poor response.  I have an FSH of 12.3 but my scan showed 10 follicles.
I was put on long protcol and took burserilin and then Gonal F.  Small dose for first 5 days then when low response increased to 300 dose.  Only four follicles but reponding too slowly.  Should I have an AMH test before nest go and will just incresing the dose of Gonal f help.  I am 29 years old.

My FSH was only 8 last and and changed after I had my Fallopian tubes removed could this have made a difference.

Hi,

I just posted a question before I saw this!  I just received a call from my nurse that my cycle may have to be cancelled also because my follicles are not growing at the rate they want them to.... should be 1.6 - 1.8 now and they are only 1.0 to 1.2.  Egg Retrieval is currently scheduled for Friday but she said my cycle may have to be cancelled.

My FSH was 12.6 and I think my ultrasound is only showing 5 follicles but the darn things aren't growing..... Aaargh!!  So frustrated!!

I did menopur and gonal f and dexamethosone.  I don't know about burserilin and not sure how long of a protocol you mean.  I started my protocol on Day 3 and ER was scheduled for day 12.  Now the whole thing may have to be cancelled?!?!!?!?!

Sorry that I don't have answers for you.....I, too, have more questions than answers.

Hopefully, somebody on this board will provide some insight!!

Hope your next scan goes well and they dont need to cancel.   I go back for my follow up consultation in December to see what to do next.  Not giving up hope.

At first my doctor put me on birth control  pills. Then I was injecting Lupron and after few days I was injecting Follistim and Menopur. I am 38 and I had 13 eggs ( 12 fully matured) so I think that was a great success. That was my third ivf cycle (which by the way failed but that is another story). At two previous cycles I had only 3 eggs retrieved each time. Good luck to you!

Hi, I can share my IVF protocol, its very similarto Dorti's.  I am 39 yrs years old.  My RE first put me on BCP, after a few days I started injecting Lupron.  After a few days I stopped BCP and on CD 4 I started injecting Bravelle.  I had 12 mature follicles the first time out of which 3 fertilized one of which was grade A+.  The second time I had 15 mature follicles out of which 5 fertilized and all were grade A+.  I am currently 15 weeks pregnant.  I felt that accupuncture had a lot to contribute towards the success
