THANKS A LOT DEAR
YOU ARE VERY KIND AND HELPFUL
ALL THE BEST 4 YOU!!!
Glad I could help :-)
You're right, 6 to 12 is the standard range for implantation. I believe most happen at 7 and 8 dpo. So, I would think 4 days is a bit early...but you never know :-)
As for OPKs, since it sounds like you have a pretty regular cycle, you will probably only need one box of OPKs. Each box usually has 7 tests. Since you have a 28 or 29 day cycle, you will probably start testing around cycle day 11 (there's usually an insert in the box which will tell you when to start), and then use one a day until you get a test line which is as dark or darker than the control line. Once you have a positive OPK, you've detected your LH surge, and should ovulate within 48 hours. Most women will ovulate the day after they detect their LH surge.
:-)
THANKS A LOT!!!
I just came back from work and saw your answer, you are sweet and helped me a lot.
I never tried the ovulation kits, since what day I should do it and how many kits do I need?
My Doc Told me to do the blood test on day 21 but if I ovulated 2 days ago it still be less then 5...I understand that...can it be implantation spotting after 4 days of fertilization??? as I know it showes from day 6-12....am I correct??
Hi! I'm not sure I have the answer to all of your questions, but I'll try...
1. I believe ovulation spotting occurs right after ovulation, as it happens when the egg bursts out of the follicle...but I would think it can take a few hours before the blood reaches the cervical opening. Ovulation spotting is not very common, but some women do get it.
2. Yes, it is possible that you ovulated a few days after the ultrasound and that the follicle and lining increased in size before then. Have you tried using OPKs to better help you pinpoint ovulation?
3. I'm not sure how much the lining grows per day...sorry.
4. Unfortunately, you can't calculate when you ovulated based on your progesterone levels. Anything over 5 means you had some form of ovulation, but they like to see a level over 10 at 7 dpo. In your case, it really depends on when you ovulated. Because if you did ovulate later than day 14, then the test was technically done a few days early, and your progesterone might still be on its way up. However, the spotting you describe could indicate low progesterone levels, so I'm glad you're having this checked out.
If I were you, I would try OPKs next month (if you're not pregnant this cycle), or even better, BBT charting. That way, you know when you ovulated and can have a progesterone test done at exactly 7 dpo. If it's above 10, you're OK, but if it's lower, your doctor may suggest progesterone supplements.
Good luck to you!
