should I be in so much pain

I recently went through a miscarriage and had to have a D&C two days ago.Although the first day after was okay I have since started to have serve pain on my left side especially when i am lying down it is very uncomfortable.I'm going to see my Doc tonight but I just thought I would ask if anybody else has gone through this and is it normal as it is my first D&C and I hope I don't have to have another

I'm so glad your doctor gave you some meds to help you feel better! Hopefully it will subside soon, so you can get back to trying for a baby!

Take care!

Thanks alot for your reply.I have been back to my doc and I had an ultra sound but nothing showed up to say what might be causing the pain so he has put me on pain killers thank god he has else I would be crawling the wall in pain.I suppose I just have to wait and see while I take these pain killers and give it time to settle down.I will keep you informed on what happens.I really hope it settles down as I want to try for another baby as soon as possible.Once again thanks alot

I've also had a D&C, but didn't have any severe pain after. I think it's good that you're going back to see your doctor today. Just in case you're developing an infection or something like that.
