side effects of clomid?

Hi, I am TTC #2. I have just started my 1st round (ever) of Clomid yesterday. I keep reading about the side effects and wondering if that only lasts during the days you take your pills or if it lingers the whole month? I'm not sure what to expect (and warn my husband about)? =) Also, what is the success rate of getting pregnant the first month or two? I had no trouble at all getting pregnant with #1 who is now 20 months old. I am 29.

I had no side effects with clomid although it did extend my cyle from 28 to about 32 days.  OPK  can help with fertile days although you have to wait about 4-5 days after your last Clomid pill.

my progesterone was .6 today and he said my estrogen was low too.  I'm wondering why he hasn't suggested Clomid.  It took me 14 months to get af after my m/c.  It just seems like my body is in shock and isn't responding at all.  I feel like I'm not working properly..haha.  This has been 4 months of this kind've stuff....I emailed him to see what he thinks...

I was going to my OB/GYN and he was doing blood tests..etc after my 6 months of trying independently...After he ran all of his tests, he referred me to an RE.  I could not get into see him for months so my OB called him and asked what we could do in the meantime.  My progesterone was at 12 and my RE likes it higher so he put me on Clomid before I ever got into see him.  I ovulate on my own, but the Clomid helps raise my prog. and supposedly can give me a better quality egg.

I think Clomid gives me Terret's!!!  HA!!!  I become a terrible potty mouth....Ok so that might be the moodiness, but my husband is convinced it is Terret's!!
Try taking it at night.  That has really made a difference for me.  My RE says if you are going to be successful on Clomid, it is usually by month 3....I am now starting month 4..so there goes that theory.
I ovulate late and Clomid did not change that for me...I still ovulate on Day 18.

My Dr. told me 12-15 to Bd but I think the best thing to do is use OPK's so you know for sure.
