side effects of clomid

hello ladies,

I will be taking clomid on cd 5-9.  I am hoping that AF will be here by next thursday.  what am I in store for?  I have heard about the hot flashes and mood swings but i have also read that there are serious cramps as well.  Why is that ?   can you take pain pills?  I will be be having my first iui hopefully in august.

any input would be great!

this is my fourth round of clomid, on 50 mg i had a few hot flashes that's it. on 100 mg some cramps and crazy mood swings, the 150mg by far the worst horrible hot flashes, with my mood swings i get so angry, then i cry because i'm angry, bad bad cramps, oh yeah and when i go from a dark area to light i have wavy lines that follow everything i look at.  i take it at night also, i would rather sleep off my hot flashes then be dripping at work.  i think i just respond poorly to hormones, i had a lot of side effects when i was on bc 4 years ago.  don't let my experience change your views, we are all different who knows you may not have any side effects.  good luck, i hope it works!

When I was on clomid I never have cramp but i did realize my moods changed quickly.  hot flashes, i didn't experience that.. Take your clomid at night is the best.. One side effect for me was my uterine lining getting thinner... i have to switch clomid to femera.

I never had any cramps with it. I did get hot flashes. I took mine in the am to avoid having the sweats at night and them waking me up. It really wasn't bad at all for me. All s/e were over a day or 2 after last pill. I was on 100mg.
