stenotic cervix

Back in November I had a pap smear. The dr. said my cervix was "hard" and this could be why hubby and I are having a hard time conceiving.  I was sent to have the HSG test done, the doctor wasn't able to insert the catherer into my cervix. My OB/GYN has referred me to an RE. Hubby and I have been TTC for 1.5 years. Hubby has had a SA and everything was fine. I admit I'm nervous about seeing the RE.  What should I expect on my first visit with the RE and can my cervix be opened?

The RE will become your best friend if their good and have good nurses. They are so much better than your OBGYNE. You should expect to just answer alot of questions about your history and cycle. They may exam you and try to get through your cervix. They could dilate your cervix if they have too. It sounds like your best option will be to do IUI if you have a hardened cervix. Good luck
