tubal ligation or vasectomy

I'm doing this for my dear friend. She had birth her last son two years ago with c-section...after a while back she decided to wait after her son was born and thought about wanting another baby later. She is 45 years old now and she said that she wishes that she would have her tube tied done right when she had her previous c-section, too late. And now she decided not to have anymore babies, too old for another one and she has been on the birth control pills since. I want to know which tubal ligation or vasectomy is better....having the birth control pills could be the problem affected the health due to her age, right?  She does not need that.  Anyone of you ever experienced that and tell me please.  I just want to help her understanding and she does not need to take anymore pills. I am against the pills. I would have had my tubal ligation or DH's vacestomy done. I want your opinions.  Thank you.

Vasectomy is better! My DH are having the same issue and like I told him he should get fixed because its a simple outpatient or same day surgery. He goes home with a bag of frozen peas and some painkillers and he's good (lol). Me on the other hand would have to be in the hospital for at least 1-2 days and have to be off work and God forbid I get an infection or something(I know the chances are slim, but whose telling this story lol). Anywho, that's my opinion.

vasectomy is the easiest and nonevasive choice for sure!!! men are wimps about this but it makes for a better choice as far as recovery period.
