Are my chances good?

Are my chances good?

I was diagnosed with PCOS. I went on clomid for 5 cycles with provera to start my period and didn't ovulate. I was referred to an RE and now i am going to start my first cyle of IUI in about 3 weeks. The RE gave me a sono of my uterus and ovaries and told me that my uterus is normal in shape and no fibroids or anything like that, and she said that my ovaries had many many follicles on them. I had an HSG done yesterday and my tubes are open although she had to apply some extra pressure to my left tube but then it started passing through. My RE is giving me follistim, endometrin and pregnyl to induce ovulation on my next cycle. Just wondering about anybody taking these meds and any side effects they might cause. Are te chances good.  Hoping for a little miracle or two!!!

Hi!
Everyone is a little different in regards to side effects.  Some pretty common ones are mood swings, head aches, appetite changes and water retention.  If the meds work well, you may feel some abdominal discomfort and distention.  Presumably you will know if they are working well because you will be doing estradiol levels and ultrasounds to follow your progress.
It sounds like your RE is on top of your diagnosis, and that you are only dealing with one problem, so you should have a good shot!
Good luck!
