Dear Yaduhyaya - even women who have very few periods occasionally ovulate from time to time. That is why women with irregular periods sometimes still get pregnant on their own and have children. Therefore, it is possible to ovulate, but no likely, when your periods are this irregular. I would encourage you to consult with an infertility specialist - with periods this irregular you will get great benefit from fertility medicines like clomid which hopefully will make you ovulate.

Possibly, you are still ovulating.  However if you are, you are only ovulating every three months at least, which may indicate a problem.  Have you spoken to your doctor regarding this issue?  Are you trying to get pregnant?  If you are trying to get pregnant, i believe there is medication your doctor could give you that could regulate your cycles a little more so that ovulate more frequently.
