ovulate but not conceive

by chinup2, Aug 01, 2007 12:00AM
I'm 28 year old. I was on Clomid 50mg then 100mg. My BBT shows that i did ovulate both these 2 times, but didn't conceive. should i patiently do one more Clomid round again? Or should I ask for IUI with Clomid? Thank you.

Were your periods regular before starting clomid? If they were irregular, and now you are ovulating, I would probably go with just clomid for another 1-2 cycles, although there is certainly nothing wrong with adding IUI if you wish. Also, if you are ovulating at the 100 mg dose in my opinion there is no need to increase the dose further.

On the other hand, if you were ovulating regularly before starting clomid, then adding IUI will be helpful.

Hope this helps you to make a decision.
