Bromocriptine and ovulex

Is bromocriptine a prefferred option to ovulex since I've had two chemical pregnancies?

Bromocriptine is a treatment specifically for elevated levels of a hormone called prolactin. Ovulex is a combination of botanicals that in my opinion have no true effect on reproduction. I would not recommend either treatment. Have your biochemical pregnancies been confirmed with blood tests? Or just home urine pregnancy tests? Although two biochemical pregnancies must be so disappointing, the good news is that the chances that the third pregnancy will be OK are greater than 75%. There are lab tests that can be done and should certainly be done if a third non-viable pregancy occurs. Most of the time the tests come back normal, but we certainly do not want to miss anything. The tests could be done after two pregnancy losses if you wish, but if they are not covered by insurance they can be expensive. Tests for recurrent miscarraige include genetic testing of you and your partner with a test called a karyotype, testing of your uterus to make sure it has a normal shape and no growths, and tests of some of the substances in your blood that can influence blood clotting. I am not sure you need to go to this extent after two biochemical losses, since the tests usually come back even when the two miscarriages are farther along, but there is no harm in doing them if that is your wish.

Hope this advice helps, and I think/hope things will work out next time.
